Calling ALL Port Harcourt Residents: How effective is TIMA-RIV's "OPERATION SWEEP" ?

on the 11th of April 2012, the Rivers State Roads Traffic Management Authority (TIMA-RIV) commenced a 90 days exercise tagged “OPERATION SWEEP” with the objective of sanitising the chaotic traffic situation in Port Harcourt City second only to Lagos.
To this end, adequate Public Service Announcements with information guiding the terms of reference and listing what constitutes traffic infractions for road users were made by the Authority. In addition the authority published Hotlines for members of the public to call in the event of any inappropriate conduct on the part of its employees. Just this past Saturday,  the Comptroller General interacted with the public in a phone in programme on a radio station in Port Harcourt where he fielded questions on the activities of the TIMA-RIV and other issues relating to the 90 day programme.
