Ha! The IGP must hear this

| Certainly not yet "Happy Days" for M. Abubakar |
With all the bleak
news of the past couple of days, it had totally skipped my mind that I had said
I would post this. It’s especially important that this shameful incident be
brought to the attention of the powers that be of the Nigerian Police Force; ‘especially
in the light of the ongoing cleansing and rebranding of the force. Of course
this kind of incident may not be strange because though not directly involved,
I have heard such hellish stories in the past involving the force but certainly
not since the new Sheriff rode into town.
Anyway no long talk again, just
helep me read wetin my friend post for one chat room I belong to post the day
after Chelsea trounced Barca (Wow! WAS THAT A MATCH OR WHAT?)
“A little past 1am today, my brother's wife called
me that he was yet to return home from watching Chelsea at d Heineken viewing
centre. They had been on the phone, till he suddenly said he might need to turn
back as the roadblock in front of him looked funny..We kept trying to reach him but his calls his phones were being cut between ringing. So of course we were worried sick... Turned out he had been stopped at Surulere Stadium by d police, dragged into a police post inside the stadium & was being labelled an armed robber. They claimed his car of nearing two years, with complete particulars in his name had been reported stolen earlier...They collected his phones, were the ones cutting his calls, making sure he couldn't reach family... Or lawyers...
Summary of the story, the 'criminal' was allowed to go find a bike to use the ATM as he didn't have enough cash to drop for 'boys'... Of course, ATM withdrawal and money parting hands later, he was out, phones returned and car keys handed back...”
If this really happened, then evidently Abubakar's guys have restrategised, devicing new tactics to give 'bl**dy"' road users like us our comeuppance to ensure we contribute to their never ending 'family support' fundraising. You see why the IGP must hear this. Though
come to think of it, who knows, maybe the Olopa’s are Barca fans; I will ask AA if his brother's car had a Chelsea sticker.
