The 'Sleeping" HOS General 'Rip Van Winkle Buhari' wakes up from slumber 28 years too late
Seriously! Abati should not have dignified Buhari's tasteless comment with that response..No doubt he was trying to joggle the memory of some who may have forgotten Buhari's antecedents as well as give an insight to the younger generation who know nothing about Buhari other than this current "Crusader" mien; whatever the case maybe, it was kind of a waste of precious time.
In my opinion all these rantings by Buhari is simply a sorry attempt to purge himself of all the darkness of his past. Who amongst my generation can forget that General who looked more like a 'Wimp' playing dress up in military garb...Suddenly he has found his voice because Idiagbon is not alive today to tell us the real truth about who was really Head of State. Some of us even back then saw it for what it was, Buhari was simply a stooge placed on the seat to assuage certain sentiments and Idiagbon was the real deal. Buhari was simply a puppet, doing the bid of the puppeteers. Has anyone noticed how Buhari suddenly discovered his Mojo following the demise of the many retired officers who knew the koko.
If he is such a toughie, why did he scuttle away with tail between his legs when IBB showed him the way out of Dodan Barracks. If he is hell bent on Bloodshed, why didnt he defend his mojo against IBB as IBB did years later against Orkar etal. Damn! this dude is a Coward; face dey fear face nah!. Now his bravado is ignited because he is up against a "Civvie". How can a "general" make such a distasteful comment and forecast collateral damage and still be left standing?...
It's amazing how much "tough talking" MHB has been doing in recent times and I wonder if he maybe had some kind of procedure to unclog his voice box, because I vividly recall how his voice was hardly heard even as "HOS" or is there perharps some 'dutch courage' in the mix somewhere?
"Dogs and Baboons" he says? just goes to show how he can't disguise his contempt for the very people he wishes to save through his 'presidency'. Is it any wonder that he seems to have mistaken the CPC symbol of a pen for a spear?
It is sad that many have not seen Buhari for who and what he is...
