TODAY IS 21ST OF OCTOBER 2024. WHAT DAY WAS YESTERDAY AGAIN ?.
Good morning Patriots,
There is 100% #NoCap in #GenZSpeak in that saying “Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of Our Lives”.
I woke up today with Just one question to ask.
Even if you are for or against whether ‘The Lekki Massacre’ happened or not ? October 20th, 2020 will always be woven into the tapestry of Nigerian History. It signified a day we all believed we had come to an end of ourselves (or where we dreaming?) and Uhuru was surely in sight and ours for the taking.
4 short years later, the same things ‘they’ stood for has snowballed into astronomical proportions and here we are back to square one and I can’t help but wonder, was all that wahala truly worth it?
Let me assume that what led to the outrage that resulted in the mass looting and monumental loss of property and allegedly lives really happened that NIGHT, so 4 short years later, what are the memories of that day made of?
There’s really a reason why even the Good Book says; “This too shall pass”; even “Heaven & Earth shall pass away”…. At the end of the Day, we each become ‘A MEMORY’ to be either kept Alive intentionally & remembered by those who truly cared & loved us or left to fade away, locked in the sand hills of time and left to slip away.
Truly, History might be Romantic when it’s recounted, but often times the reality is harsh and not kind to the memories of those that made History.
The Moral of this Tale is simple; DON’T BE A STATISTIC.
All Is Well That Ends Well With Nigeria.
